Our program blends play-based and nature-based activities, ensuring age-appropriate experiences that foster holistic child development. Through engaging play and exploration, we aim to cultivate potential, enhance problem-solving, and instill a love for learning. The incorporation of nature enriches the environment, connecting children with the world around them. The program emphasizes not only academic skills but also essential life skills, shaping well-rounded individuals for future success. Don’t be surprised to witness our school mantra in action daily: At Anak Alam School, we care, we show respect, we love to grow, and we always try our best!
Our Early Years Program is a Play based curriculum anchored in hands-on nature experiences, learning by doing and working with and caring about others to build positive relationships and social-emotional thinking skills. Teaching and learning is student centred and inquiry based with our literacy and numeracy outcomes from the Australian Curriculum Learning Framework.
AAIS pre-primary program is designed to prepare students to be Primary-ready. Lessons and activities are carefully selected to help children develop their academic skills as well as their socio-emotional confidence. The English program is integrated into three pillars, literacy, sight words, and phonics where it focuses on developing students’ understanding and skills in listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Mathematics and Science lessons develop children’s problem-solving, reasoning, and thinking structures. Art, music and movement lessons allow for creativity and the Creation Station and gardening lessons teach them to positively care for our earth.
